Main Functions
The large storage capacity meets the continuous production requirements, avoiding frequent feeding and melting, and ensuring the continuity of production.
The constant temperature and insulation maintain the asphalt at the flowing temperature (generally 130-180℃), preventing cooling and solidification.
The sedimentation and impurity removal: The asphalt remains in the tank for a long time, and mechanical impurities and coke powder naturally settle at the bottom of the tank.
The transfer and buffering: Connects the upstream melting equipment with the downstream production process, playing a role in regulating and stabilizing the supply.
Structural Characteristics
The tanks are mostly in vertical or horizontal cylindrical shapes made of steel, with volumes ranging from several tens to several thousand cubic meters.
The heating system is equipped with heat transfer oil coils / steam coils inside. Some small tanks use electric heating to ensure uniform overall temperature.
The outer wall of the insulation layer is wrapped with insulation materials such as rock wool and glass wool, and is covered with color steel or galvanized iron sheets to reduce heat loss.

Working Method
The high-temperature liquid asphalt is sent into the tank by the asphalt melting device or the unloading device.
The coil pipe continuously heats up, keeping the asphalt in the tank at a constant temperature and in a flowable state.
During production, the asphalt is extracted from the bottom of the tank by the asphalt pump, passes through the filter and heater, and is sent to the process.
Impurities deposit at the bottom of the tank and are regularly cleaned through the sewage outlet.
