China Insulated Asphalt Storage Tank Factory - High-Quality Long-Term Storage Solutions from Reliable Suppliers

The liquid asphalt storage tank is a robust, sealed steel structure designed for the long-term and large-capacity storage of high-temperature liquid asphalt. As a vital piece of equipment in the asphalt production process, it ensures efficient material storage, insulation, and transfer across various applications, including waterproof sheet production and the carbon industry. This tank provides a reliable source of asphalt, crucial for the entire production system. Being one of the leading suppliers and factories in China, we guarantee high-quality products that meet industry standards and enhance operational efficiency

    Main Functions

The large storage capacity meets the continuous production requirements, avoiding frequent feeding and melting, and ensuring the continuity of production.
The constant temperature and insulation maintain the asphalt at the flowing temperature (generally 130-180℃), preventing cooling and solidification.
The sedimentation and impurity removal: The asphalt remains in the tank for a long time, and mechanical impurities and coke powder naturally settle at the bottom of the tank.
The transfer and buffering: Connects the upstream melting equipment with the downstream production process, playing a role in regulating and stabilizing the supply.

    Structural Characteristics

The tanks are mostly in vertical or horizontal cylindrical shapes made of steel, with volumes ranging from several tens to several thousand cubic meters.
The heating system is equipped with heat transfer oil coils / steam coils inside. Some small tanks use electric heating to ensure uniform overall temperature.
The outer wall of the insulation layer is wrapped with insulation materials such as rock wool and glass wool, and is covered with color steel or galvanized iron sheets to reduce heat loss.
    Companion accessories
Inlet port, outlet port, overflow port, bottom drainage port
Level gauge, thermometer, temperature measurement probe
Asphalt smoke exhaust port, manhole, maintenance port
Anti-static, lightning protection, safety guardrail, etc.

    Working Method

    01
The high-temperature liquid asphalt is sent into the tank by the asphalt melting device or the unloading device.
    02
The coil pipe continuously heats up, keeping the asphalt in the tank at a constant temperature and in a flowable state.
    03
During production, the asphalt is extracted from the bottom of the tank by the asphalt pump, passes through the filter and heater, and is sent to the process.
    04
Impurities deposit at the bottom of the tank and are regularly cleaned through the sewage outlet.
    Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What is the typical storage temperature for asphalt in these tanks? The constant temperature and insulation systems typically maintain asphalt between 130-180℃ to ensure it remains in a flowable state.
Q2: What heating methods can be used in the storage tanks? Tanks are commonly equipped with heat transfer oil coils or steam coils. Smaller tanks may utilize electric heating for uniform temperature control.
Q3: How is heat loss minimized in the tank structure? The outer walls are wrapped with high-quality insulation materials like rock wool or glass wool, further protected by color steel or galvanized iron sheets.
Q4: How are impurities managed within the asphalt storage system? Mechanical impurities and coke powder naturally settle at the bottom of the tank over time and are removed through a dedicated sewage outlet.
Q5: What safety features are included with the tanks? Standard safety accessories include anti-static systems, lightning protection, safety guardrails, and overflow ports to ensure secure operation.
Q6: What tank capacities and shapes are available? Tanks are available in vertical or horizontal cylindrical shapes, with storage volumes ranging from tens to several thousand cubic meters.
