China Asphalt Melting Device with Stirring Mechanism - High Efficiency Factory Supply for Road Construction and Waterproofing

,

A top-notch asphalt melter is an essential industrial machine, expertly designed to quickly and uniformly transform solid asphalt—whether in block, drum, or bag form—into high-quality liquid asphalt. This equipment is especially valuable for applications in the carbon industry, road construction, and waterproofing projects, effectively addressing issues like poor thermal conductivity, local overheating, aging, and slow melting processes. As a leading China supplier and factory of asphalt melters, we provide equipment that boasts a compact structure, efficient uniform heating, rapid melting capabilities, and ease of control. Ideal for large-scale operations, our asphalt melter also features in-tank filtration and convenient slag removal, making it a must-have for professionals in the industry.

    Product Description

    ⚙️
For a relatively large melting capacity (2–15 t/h), a vertical coil structure is adopted; for a smaller melting capacity (1–2 t/h), a horizontal tube bundle structure is adopted; for a very small melting capacity (test use – 100–1000 kg/h), an electric heating structure is adopted.

Continuous melting ensures stable discharge and can operate 24 hours a day without interruption. Indirect heating combined with forced stirring eliminates local overheating and prevents asphalt performance degradation. Built-in slag discharge ensures environmental compliance.

    Asphalt Melting Equipment Vertical Coil
    Asphalt Melter Agitation System

    Main Structure

Compared to the submerged pump asphalt melter, the agitated vertical asphalt melter replaces the high-temperature circulation system with an agitation system (agitator and drive unit), resulting in a more compact equipment structure, faster, more uniform and stable heating, and lower failure rate.

    🏗️

    The main structure consists of:

    • Asphalt tank (straight upper section and conical lower section)
    • Thermal oil heating coils (inner, outer, and conical coils)
    • Agitation system (gear motor, bracket)
    • Support frame (upper and lower brackets and columns)
    • Electronic load cells and digital thermometer
    • Bottom slag discharge mechanism, filter, and buffer tank

    Working Principle

The stirring-type asphalt melting device ensures modified asphalt neither decomposes nor melts rapidly and continuously, reaching the required process temperature while maintaining stable discharge.

1Melting Zone: Solid asphalt enters the melting zone where coils supplied with heat transfer oil melt the material. The stirrer enhances heat transfer for uniform heating. Liquid asphalt moves to the secondary zone while slag settles in the conical zone.

2Secondary Heating: Asphalt enters the secondary zone for further heating, dehydration, and impurity sedimentation. Once temperature and levels meet requirements, qualified asphalt is discharged through a filter to storage tanks.

3Cleaning & Maintenance: A bottom discharge valve and manhole allow for easy cleaning of settled impurities and internal maintenance. Impurities are discharged repeatedly until clear.

4Temperature Control: A measuring point at the outlet controls the heat transfer oil inlet valve. This regulates melting speed and prevents asphalt aging due to overheating.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What melting capacities are available for this equipment?
A: We offer vertical coil structures for 2–15 t/h, horizontal tube bundles for 1–2 t/h, and electric heating structures for laboratory or small-scale use (100–1000 kg/h).
Q2: How does the forced stirring system benefit asphalt quality?
A: Forced stirring combined with indirect heating eliminates local hotspots. This ensures uniform temperature distribution and prevents the performance degradation or aging of the asphalt.
Q3: Can the equipment operate continuously?
A: Yes, the system is designed for 24-hour uninterrupted operation, providing a stable and continuous discharge of melted asphalt.
Q4: How is maintenance and cleaning handled?
A: The equipment features a bottom liquid asphalt discharge valve and a manhole. Impurities can be flushed out through the slag mechanism, and personnel can enter through the manhole for internal maintenance.
Q5: What packaging types of asphalt can be processed?
A: The system is versatile and can be configured as a drum asphalt melting system, bagged asphalt melting system, or a bulk/lump continuous melting system.
Q6: How is the temperature precisely controlled?
A: A digital temperature measuring point at the outlet automatically controls the heat transfer oil inlet valve, regulating the melting speed and keeping the asphalt within the set temperature range.
